Speaker Bios
Janine Haines is a partner with HiTech Law, a boutique law firm that specializes in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and IP protection for emerging and growing businesses. Before joining HiTech Law, Janine worked at a technology start-up where she realized that traditional law firms do not serve the needs of emerging businesses well. She discovered that HiTech Law has a very different approach, and joined the firm in 1996. She has been a member of NAWBO since 1998.

Jackie Kessel started HiTech Law in 1994 after running her own software company in California. As an entrepreneur and founder of a startup, Jackie realized the importance of having a lawyer advocate. She envisioned founding a law firm dedicated to emerging growth companies – a law firm staffed by quality lawyers who are sympathetic to their clients and who understand their business goals. It was with this goal in mind that Jackie enrolled in law school, and subsequently opened HiTech Law.

Both Janine and Jackie attended Pepperdine University School of Law. Janine has an Honors undergraduate degree in Marketing.
