Call for Nominations: 2008 - 2009 Board of Directors

The NAWBO-Silicon Valley 2007-2008 Board of Directors is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2008-2009 fiscal year Board of Directors.

Please view the job descriptions and minimum requirements of each position to ensure your proposed candidate is qualified to serve on the NAWBO-SV Board of Directors.

As per the NAWBO-SV by-laws, the current elected executive board members can remain in their elected position for two years if they choose. We have two vacancies available for nomination. Please review the two available positions.

Please note that being on the Board of Directors is an honor and a privilege and provides excellent leadership opportunities that will benefit you, your business and the community.

Nominee Criteria

• Nominations will be accepted until 8:30pm May 20, 2008, without exception.
• Nominations will be accepted electronically by completing the form on the NAWBO - Silicon Valley website or by submitting in person at the main monthly event (May 20, 2008).
• Nominees must be chapter voting members in good standing.
• Nominees should be enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals who believe in our Vision and Mission Statements.
• Two nominees may share one position, but together will share one vote on Board matters.

Please keep in mind the following when considering nominees for an office:

• Board members are expected to attend all Board Meetings (held once per month on the third Monday of each month).
• Board members are expected to attend a minimum of 75% (9 out of 12) of the regular monthly meetings.
