Jennifer Jaciw speaks at the Light Up The Night community event for Next Door Solutions

NAWBO Silicon Valley member and Lone Star Limousine President, Jennifer Jaciw, spoke as Board member and Survivor at the Light Up The Night community event for Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, held October 15, 2015, during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence is a non-profit organization that helps victims and survivors of domestic violence in Santa Clara County create better lives for themselves and their families. Lone Star Limousine is located less than 5 miles from Next Door and is owned by Jen Jaciw, who is a domestic violence survivor herself. Driven by her own personal experience, Jaciw first volunteered for the organization in December 2013 and was invited to join their Board in December 2014.

Light Up The Night was well attended by community leaders, city council members, local supporters, and was emceed by KBAY on-air personality, Sam Van Zandt. The event included facility tours, a client story, Jen's experience serving on the Board, and a candle lighting ceremony in remembrance of those who lost their lives this year.

"We at Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence are so grateful for community partners like Jen Jaciw at Lone Star Limo for her innovative and creative spirit in putting together fundraisers for our agency! Jen has also volunteered at our annual Holiday Boutique and was instrumental in helping our clients feel welcome and valued. Jen's giving, caring attitude is truly contagious and we are grateful for her support!" Donna Knowlton, Director of Development for Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence.
