The NAWBO Silicon Valley Chapter was founded in 1988 as a 501(c)(6) organization. As a growing organization, we are continually assessing the needs of our members and adding events and programs that support the development of women business leaders. Currently, we provide monthly events with featured speakers at local venues and companies such as Google, LinkedIn and Cisco. These events provide the opportunity to network and get to know fellow NAWBO members, develop business relationship and learn about the latest trends and technologies for building a successful business.
Our monthly Brown Bag Luncheon series highlights hot business topics, new technologies, information relevant to women business owners and related business and marketing trends.
NAWBO California, a non-profit organization, is a federation consisting of the nine NAWBO chapters in the Golden State. It concentrates on statewide legislative action issues and corporate relations, and supports the growth of chapter membership through education, marketing and public relations at the local level.
The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The organization currently has over 60 chapters.
We are always interested in having our members serve on our all-volunteer Board.
All Board positions are voluntary positions. The commitment required varies for each position and ranges from 20 hours to 75 hours per month.
