Membership Information

NAWBO is the unified, bipartisan voice of America’s more than 12 million women-owned businesses and the only dues-based organization representing the interests of these women with businesses of all sizes, stages of growth and industries.
NAWBO California is a federation of 11 local NAWBO California Chapters concentrating on statewide legislative action issues and corporate relations, and supports the growth of chapter membership through education, marketing and public relations at the local level.

Membership Categories & Dues

Membership Dues

NAWBO membership is open to sole proprietors, partners and corporate owners with day-to-day management responsibility.  Membership is recorded in the name of the individual, not the organization. Membership dues are nonrefundable.

Dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for Federal Income Tax purposes.  In compliance with Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, it is estimated that 6% of the membership dues is non-deductible as a business expense.

Members must own 5% or more of their business to qualify for membership.

There is a $100 one-time initiation fee.

Premier Member – $49.95/mo | $479.40 annual payment

Member receives all communications and publications, is eligible for all discounts and benefits, and is listed in the online member directory.

Chapter membership is automatic for those whose businesses are located in a chapter area.

Voting Member: Voting empowers our members to directly impact the current and future movement of the organization with policies and processes.

Basic Member – $39.95/mo or $359.40 annual payment

Member receives all communications and publications, is eligible for limited discounts and benefits, and is listed in the online member directory. Chapter membership is automatic for those whose businesses are located in a chapter area.

Non-Voting Member.

Supporting Member – $76.25/mo or $795 annual payment

An Individual or Non-Profit Organization who subscribes to the objectives of NAWBO and wishes to lend support to NAWBO through membership. This category of membership includes limited discounts and is listed in the online member directory. The individual does not need to be a women business owner.

Non-Voting Member.

Next Gen Member – $120*

This category gives what’s traditionally thought of as NextGen—women in high school, college or graduate school who are on an entrepreneurship education track—as well as women of any age within the first 1-3 years of their business startup access to NAWBO’s community and resources as they launch and build!
